Considering the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the falling economy, Google has decided to recant offers to more than 2000 contractual and temporary hires. Most of Google’s workforce comprises of temporary employees aka TVC’s (temps, vendors, contractors). The tech-giant, in March, said that it will be paying them hourly. Workers with retracted offers weren’t onboarded hence they were let go without financial compensation.
