Amazon said it is recruiting 100K more workers – the fourth hiring spree it has announced for the US this year – to keep pace with e-comm demand that jumped during the pandemic. The roles will be full and part-time at 100 new warehouse and operations sites it is opening this month. As of June 30, Amazon employed 876.8K people excluding contractors and temporary personnel. Earlier this month, Amazon announced 33K openings for corporate and tech workers.
