German tech firm hit by massive ransomware attack

German tech firm Software AG has suffered a massive malware attack, with hackers asking for a ransom of $23M after stealing employee information and company docs. The attackers published screenshots of the company’s data on a website the hackers operate on the dark web. The screenshots show employee passport and ID scans, employee emails, financial docs and directories from the company’s internal network. However, the customer cloud services were unaffected.
