Microsoft and Google joined Facebook’s legal battle against hacking firm NSO. The tech giants have filed an amicus brief in federal court that said that the Israeli firm’s tools were “powerful, and dangerous.”  FB’s lawsuit against NSO was filed last year after it was revealed that the NSO had exploited a bug in WhatsApp to help surveil over 1,400 people worldwide.  NSO said that as it sells digital break-in tools to govt agencies it should benefit from “sovereign immunity.”
