A sophisticated cyberattack has been hit Air India’s passenger service system provider SITA. Personal data of 4.5mn passengers globally has been leaked which includes name, DOB, contact info, passport details, ticket information, and credit card data registered between Aug 2011 and Feb 2021. Damage control is being done by securing the compromised servers, engaging data security specialists, and has notified credit card issuers to reset passwords.
