Microsoft, Apollo hospitals have joined hands for digital healthcare solutions

Apollo hospitals and Microsoft have partnered up to deliver quick and easy health and wellness facilities within the MS work suite. For three months, testing has been conducted in a pilot program for Microsoft were 5000 of its employees had access to the platform, of which 50% choose to take medical consultations from Apollo doctors. Employees can order medicines, book appointments, and collect test samples over Microsoft Teams.

Bangalore International airport partners with IBM for digitisation, IT development

The Bangalore International Airport has joined hands with IBM for 10 years to create a new “Airport in a Box” platform. BIA aims to create a dynamic delivery model with high efficiency and security that will enable a smooth travel experience for its passengers. The platform created by IBM will have an open hybrid cloud approach and be supported by Red Hat Ansible Automation to generate AI-powered insights.

Capri Global Capital appoints Rahul Agarwal as CTO

Financial service provider Capri Global Capital has appointed Rahul Agarwal as its new CTO. Rahul previously worked with Aakash Educational Services and was a key member in the company’s merger with Byju’s. He has also worked with Policybazaar and Lava International in the past. The veteran has 17 years of experience in tech product development. He will be supervising the technology domain, digital transformation, and IT of the company.

Maximl partners up with Indian oil for digitisation of last-mile operations in refineries

Maximl announced that it had won a contract worth $1mn from Indian oil to digitise last-mile operations at nine of its refineries for the next two years. Digitalisation will help increase the productivity of the employees by over 5% and reduce the risk of safety incidents and delays that can save 2-4 cr in a turnaround. Maximl has been a part of digitising over 50 turnarounds in the Indian refining sector.

UST to add 1,000 employees at Hyderabad centre by 2023

UST, a digital transformation solutions provider, wants to double its staff in Hyderabad and hire 1000 more workers by end of the year 2023. With a team of 250 staff members, UST’s Hyderabad centre debuted in the year 2018. UST has onboarded 500 employees using the virtual onboarding process since the pandemic-induced lockdown in 2020, with all workers working remotely, according to Harilal Neelakantan, Center head for UST, Hyderabad.

HCL hires 1,000 techies as it plans to invest more in the UK

HCL technologies have increased their investment in the UK to strengthen the Indo-UK bond. The Noida, India headquartered company plans to hire 1,000 fresh techies for the role of digital transformation, cloud, AI, and cybersecurity. HCL has also welcomed UK’s aid to India amidst the Covid-19 crisis. The tech firm has over 3500 employees in the UK who support over 50 clients in the country. It is among the top employer in the UK for the 15th time in a row.

Accenture has helped Mankind Pharma to accelerate its digital transformation journey by redesigning its finance, supply chain, sales, and procurement processes. SAP S/4HANA, a Microsoft Azure cloud-based data lake and Tableau dashboards was implemented to build a cloud-based platform that integrates data in real-time to provide a consolidated view to make informed decisions. The project was completed remotely with no impact on business continuity.

AWS launches Digital Suite to help SMEes in digital transformation

AWS has launched a low-cost software suite for SMEes in India to help them accelerate their digital transformation and bring their product/services online. Amazon Digital Suite, as the platform is called, offers a number of business software from seven domestic AWS partners  — Razorpay, Freshworks, ClearTax, Zoho, OkCredit, Vinculum,  greytHR’s across areas such as accounting, customer support, and human resources.

Airtel rejigs corporate structure to focus on digital opportunities

Bharti Airtel switched to a new corporate structure to focus on digital opportunities and enable its true potential. Airtel Digital will now have all the digital assets — Wynk Music, Airtel X stream, Airtel Thanks, Mitra Payments platform — and will part of its listed entity Bharti Airtel. It will also have future digital products and services — Airtel Ads, Airtel IQ, Airtel Secure, Airtel Cloud. The telecom business will be under a newly created entity Airtel Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bharti Airtel.
