Accenture has helped Mankind Pharma to accelerate its digital transformation journey by redesigning its finance, supply chain, sales, and procurement processes. SAP S/4HANA, a Microsoft Azure cloud-based data lake and Tableau dashboards was implemented to build a cloud-based platform that integrates data in real-time to provide a consolidated view to make informed decisions. The project was completed remotely with no impact on business continuity.
AWS has launched a low-cost software suite for SMEes in India to help them accelerate their digital transformation and bring their product/services online. Amazon Digital Suite, as the platform is called, offers a number of business software from seven domestic AWS partners — Razorpay, Freshworks, ClearTax, Zoho, OkCredit, Vinculum, greytHR’s across areas such as accounting, customer support, and human resources.
Bharti Airtel switched to a new corporate structure to focus on digital opportunities and enable its true potential. Airtel Digital will now have all the digital assets — Wynk Music, Airtel X stream, Airtel Thanks, Mitra Payments platform — and will part of its listed entity Bharti Airtel. It will also have future digital products and services — Airtel Ads, Airtel IQ, Airtel Secure, Airtel Cloud. The telecom business will be under a newly created entity Airtel Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bharti Airtel.
Ajay Bharwani is the new Group CIO & Head Digital Transformation of Writer Corporation. Bharwani will operate from company headquarters in Mumbai and report to the Chief Corporate Services Officer. In his new role, he will be responsible for the implementation of tech aligned with business goals and operations, Mobile Apps, AR/VR & Chatbots, etc. He has around three decades of experience and worked with Lupin, E&Y, SAP, PwC, and L&T Infotech in the past.
TCS will help Ericsson to build and operate a Cloud-based R&D digital workplace. The partnership will help Ericsson to enable anytime-anywhere access and automated delivery of the development environment for its global R&D workforce. TCS will also support Ericsson’s globally distributed teams with on-demand, zero-touch, and remote provisioning. It will also launch a 24×7 Command Center at Hyderabad, India, to help Ericsson accelerate R&D efforts.

Together they will build joint customers through rapid prototyping and development of the next-gen low code, no code apps across 5G, IoT, AI/ML, customer experience across telecom, media, entertainment, energy and utility sectors.“This BU will unlock the promise of digital productivity and deliver customer success,” said Charu Kapur, Global Head – Enterprise of Future, Tech M.
India’s health and human services firms have had the highest adoptions of digital tech, during the pandemic, among the countries surveyed by EY and Imperial College of London. The survey said that 51% of Indians have increased the use of digital tech, since the outbreak. While 74% agreed that digitalisation has raised staff productivity. More than 2,000 global HHS professionals in India, Australia, Italy, UAE, the UK and the US participated in the survey.

Birlasoft said it would adopt a platform-based strategy to offer a faster and outcome-based digital transformation solution to clients by investing in developing platforms for core industry processes. Revenue for the quarter ending December rose 5.7%, while profit jumped 32.6%. The first set of platforms will bring together the combined power of digital techs such as cloud, automation, IoT, edge computing, artificial intelligence, 5G and blockchain, said CEO Dharmendra Kapoor.
