Adani Group is soon set for a digital entry, with a super app to be built by Adani Digital Labs. It will provide a unified platform for consumers of all Adani companies, with smooth digital transactions. With consumers growing at 15%, the group plans to onboard every consumer onto the proposed app. It should be handy to every class of customers, said Chairman Gautam Adani, with his son and nephew entrusted with the project.
The Indian IT industry is likely to hit $300-$350 bn revenue over the next five years growing 10% a year, according to a yet-to-be-released report by McKinsey & Company. The growth is much higher for the $194 bn industry which grew 7.5% over the last five years. This growth will come primarily from digital services, which currently accounts for 30% of the total revenue, but expected touch 50% in next five years to hit $170 to $200 bn of revenue.
According to a joint study by Microsoft and IDC, 3 out of 10 businesses are investing in reskilling initiatives to drive innovation. However, 25% want support from the government to improve digital and tech skills in the workforce and 21% for digital technology adoption incentives for businesses. 55% of workers want businesses to formalize innovation-based rewards. 51% of workers and 48% of leaders want workforce models to include reskilling and up-skilling opportunities.
Bosch Power Tools launched BeConnected, a QR code-based web app to enhance user convenience and experience. By scanning the code, the user could extract the technical specification of the product and become aware of its genuinety. Users could also register the tools for e-warranty and avail exciting offers. The app would ensure digital traceability of the product and would cover aspects ranging from security to documentation. The app would also make after-sales service accessible.
