India Establishes Three AI Centres of Excellence to Strengthen Global Position

In the Union Budget 2025-26, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the creation of three Centres of Excellence (CoEs) in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to position India as a global AI leader. These CoEs will focus on advancing AI research and development across various sectors, fostering innovation, and enhancing the country's technological capabilities. The initiative aims to drive economic growth and solidify India's standing in the global AI landscape.
