Market trackers predict India to have 70-80 M 5G smartphones by 2022

<p>Due to brands&#39; increased investment in 5G smartphones as spectrum auctions approach, India will have 70&ndash;80 million 5G smartphones by the end of 2022, according to market analysts. While Counterpoint Research estimates that just under 40% of all devices shipped in India this year would support 5G, IDC believes that one in every two devices will. By the end of the year, brands hope to sell more 5G smartphones in the Rs10,000&ndash;Rs15,000 price range.</p>
