South Africa Picked For First Google Cloud Region In Africa

<p>The first Google Cloud region to be established on the African continent will be in South Africa, the search giant revealed on Wednesday. South Africa will join the 106 zones and 35 cloud regions that make up the Google Cloud global network. According to a study conducted by AlphaBeta Economics for Google Cloud, the South Africa cloud area would assist the development of more than 40,000 jobs and more than $2.1 billion in cumulative GDP by 2030.</p>
