Better.com lays off employees for third time in five months

<p>Better.com, a digital mortgage firm, will be conducting another mass layoff, as revealed by an email to employees. This will be the third such case in five months and this time the company blamed the declining mortgage market for the layoffs. Sources close to the matter said that the number of employees fired will be 1,200 to 1,500 which means that the company is down to 5,000 members from the original 10,000 reported in December 2021.&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp;</p>
