'Cookies' case against Facebook closes in France

<p>French privacy regulators terminated a lawsuit against Facebook after concluding that the US internet giant has altered how it collected user data to comply with the law. Last December, CNIL imposed a 60M euro ($61M) punishment on Facebook after finding that it did not provide users with an easy way to disable cookies. The parent company of the business, Meta, was warned by CNIL to address the problem within three months or risk further sanctions.</p>
