Data Protection Bill Anticipated in The Upcoming Budget Session

<p>The GOI is expected to present the Data Protection Bill in the budget session of 2023&ndash;24, which is currently in draft form. The law outlines the rights and responsibilities of citizens as well as data fiduciaries&#39; duty to utilize acquired data responsibly. It is based on six data economy&nbsp;principles and seeks to balance personal freedom, the common good, and the convenience of conducting business while allowing for a more complex understanding of data protection.</p>
