Google, Amazon, WhatsApp under SC scrutiny over data security concerns

<p>CPI Rajya Sabha member Binoy Vishwam had filed a PIL against Google, Amazon and WhatsApp stating that they breached the RBI regulation and laws that mandate UPI companies to store data on Indian servers. For this, the SC hs called upon comments from RBI and NPCI to challenge the petition. The companies are under the scrutiny of an SC bench headed by Justice Bobde. Due to this, there are concerns that WhatsApp UPI may take longer to mark its territory in India.</p>
