Google seeks dismissal of multiple claims in Epic Games antitrust trial

Google has filed a motion to dismiss multiple claims in the antitrust lawsuit filed by Epic Games. The tech giant argued that Epic's claims against it lacked legal standing and were based on a "faulty premise." Epic Games had accused Google of monopolistic behavior by requiring developers to use its Play Store and in-app payment system. The trial is set to begin in May 2023. Google is also facing antitrust lawsuits from the US Department of Justice and several states.
