Monetary Policy Committee Warns On Future Rate Hikes

<p>The Monetary Policy Committee members are arguing for &#39;wait and watch&#39; on future interest rate increases as past increases ripples through the system. The RBI raised the policy repo rate, that is the rate at which it lends to banks by 50 points to 5.4% as consumer inflation is continuously above the upper band of the dictated target of 2-6% even as growth concern stays. Members have said for treading cautiously on future rate hikes.</p>
