Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council publishes Data Security Standards v4.0

<p>The PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) has been updated to version 4.0 by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC). The PCI Security Standards Council is a national guidelines body for the payment card industry that develops security standards to help businesses protect cardholder data. PCI DSS v4.0 replaces PCI DSS v3.2.1 in order to address evolving threats and technologies, and to enable innovative methods to combat new threats.</p>
