Some Russian Banks to be blocked from SWIFT by the US, EU

<p>A group of NATO-aligned countries, in a joint letter, have enacted measures to sever Russia from the global financial system. The letter is signed by the UK, the US, Canada, and European allies ordered the blockage of select Russian banks from SWIFT, which is the international payment system used by banks to transfer money around the world. This move will be difficult for Russia to accept along with various other financial sanctions that are being placed.</p>
