14,000 Reports of Cybercrime and More than 3,500 Arrests in 2021

<p>In 2021, more than 14,000 cases of cybercrime were registered, and more than 3,500 persons were detained in connection with them. From 1,102 in 2020, cybercrimes against children increased to 1,376 in 2021. The National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) of the United States and the National Crime Records Bureau of India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to share information on online child exploitation and child-explicit content.&nbsp;</p>
