2.4M Indian WhatsApp accounts were banned in July, according to report

<p>WhatsApp banned around 2.39M Indian accounts in July this year. 1.42M of the blocked accounts were &quot;proactively banned,&quot; meaning they were suspended without user complaints. The accounts were banned based on complaints received through the company&#39;s grievances channel and the resources and methods it employs to identify such offences. &nbsp;WhatsApp received a total of 574 reports of complaints in July. In June, it deleted 2.21M accounts in India.</p>
