A Pune DoT Employee Sold Personal Information After Committing Data Theft

<p>An employee from the department of telecom&#39;s Pune office was detained by the crime branch on Monday for allegedly selling sensitive personal data for cash. Data entry operator Sujit Atmaram Nangre, charged with data theft, is the seventh suspect to be taken into custody. Nangre was the lone nodal person in the DOT office handling this kind of information. He used to illegally copy the material on his pen drive and sell it for between Rs. 50k and Rs. 1 lakh, the police claimed.</p>
