Data breach: Security company Rubrik confirms hackers exploited Fortra zero-day to steal data

<p>Rubrik, a US-based cloud data management and enterprise backup company, revealed that it suffered a data breach after hackers exploited a zero-day vulnerability in Fortra, a third-party software tool used by Rubrik. The company said that the attackers stole a copy of a subset of Rubrik source code and certain internal company emails. Rubrik has not disclosed the number of users impacted by the breach.</p>
