Data Protection Bill likely to be placed in Parliament in winter session: Official

<p>The draft for Personal Data Protection Bill is ready and possibly the bill will be tabled in the parliament in the winter session and a Regulator will be appointed once the Bill is passed, Kris Gopalakrishnan told PTI reporters. The draft is based on the government-constituted high-level panel headed by Justice B N Srikrishna - restricts and imposes conditions on the cross-border transfer of personal data.</p>
