Deepfakes, stolen personal data aiding scam artists in obtaining remote IT jobs

<p>Deepfakes are increasingly being used by scammers to steal personal information, apply for remote job interviews, and work from home. These techniques are prevalent in the IT industry, as most IT organizations still permit the majority of their personnel to work remotely. In order to apply for a range of remote jobs, deep fakes and stolen Personally Identifiable Information is being used, as per an increase in complaints received by the FBI&#39;s Internet Complaint Center.</p>
