EU plans to bring laws to tackle child abuse

<p>The European Union plans in the coming months to require technology companies to do more to tackle child sexual abuse. EU Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johansson said the internet service providers and social media firms reported 22M offenses related to child sexual abuse in 2020, up from 17M in 2019.&nbsp;Johansson said there is a need for specialist European centers to improve prevention, law enforcement, and victim support.</p>
