EU unboxes smart device security plan

<p>A new set of product regulations for smart gadgets has been put up by legislators in the European Union in an effort to require manufacturers of gear with Internet connectivity. Products that have &quot;digital elements&quot; and are sold within the EU will be subject to mandatory cybersecurity measures under the proposed EU Cyber Resilience Act. The draft law also emphasizes the importance of smart device manufacturers providing &quot;adequate and correct information&quot; to users.</p>
