Facebook 'actioned' over 17.5m pieces of content in India in May: Meta

<p>In India during May, the Meta-owned Facebook &#39;actioned&#39; over 17.5m pieces of content in 13 different infraction categories. The content that was &quot;actioned&quot; fell under many categories, such as spam, adult nudity and sexual activity, violent and graphic content, bullying and harassment, and others. Between May 1 and May 31, 2022, Facebook removed about 17.5M pieces of content from a variety of categories, whereas Instagram erased only about 4.1M pieces of content.</p>
