Facebook 'actioned' over 17.5m pieces of content in India in May: Meta

<p>In India during May, the Meta-owned Facebook 'actioned' over 17.5m pieces of content in 13 different infraction categories. The content that was "actioned" fell under many categories, such as spam, adult nudity and sexual activity, violent and graphic content, bullying and harassment, and others. Between May 1 and May 31, 2022, Facebook removed about 17.5M pieces of content from a variety of categories, whereas Instagram erased only about 4.1M pieces of content.</p>
