Google collaborates with mobile security firms to curb malicious apps

<p>Google has collaborated with mobile security companies ESET, Lookout, and Zimperium to stop malicious apps from hitting the Play Store and harming Android users. The company’s new partnership initiative named ‘App Defense’ between Google, ESET, Lookout, and Zimperium will stop bad apps before they reach user’s devices. As a part of the alliance, the partner firms are also integrating Google Play Protect detection systems with each partner’s scanning engines.</p>
