Google has removed over 2,000 loan apps from India Play Store since January

<p>Since the start of the year, Google Play India has eliminated over 2,000 personal loan apps, or more than half of all apps in the category, primarily owing to customer safety concerns. The business has been helping law enforcement with their inquiry. The Reserve Bank of India developed a regulatory framework, which brought attention to the issue of unregulated personal loan apps.&nbsp;</p>
