Govt issues order to ban 54 more Chinese apps

<p>The union government of India has issued new orders banning over 54 Chinese apps, seeing them as a threat to Indian citizens&#39; privacy and security. A number of these apps are &quot;rebranded or renamed versions&quot; of apps that have been banned in India beginning from 2020, and are owned by prominent Chinese internet companies such as Tencent, Alibaba, and gaming business NetEase. The ministry of electronics and IT has also ordered that top app stores prohibit certain apps.</p>
