Iran hackers targeted US presidential campaign: Microsoft

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Microsoft has claimed that a group of hackers linked to Iran unleashed cyber attacks on the US journalists, government officials and accounts associated with an unnamed US presidential campaign. A group called ‘Phosphorus’ made more than 27,000 attempts to identify email accounts of targets that included the senior officials of the presidential campaign. Four accounts were compromised, revealed Tom Burt, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President on an online post.</span></span></span></p>
