Iranian government to restrict crypto-mining activities

<p>The Iranian government, despite knowing the promise of crypto as a tool to dodge international sanctions, is once again prohibiting crypto mining operations in order to relieve the load on the country&#39;s power supply. Iran&#39;s power sector spokesman, Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi, warned in an interview with state TV that electricity to all 118 government-authorised mining businesses in Iran will be cut off starting June 22 due to seasonal increases in power use.</p>
