Meta sues Chinese firm for scraping Facebook, Instagram data

<p>For scraping data from Facebook, Instagram, and other major tech platforms, Meta has filed a lawsuit against Octopus, a US subsidiary of a Chinese high-tech company, as well as a Turkish individual. In addition to providing scraping services and access to software that users can use to scrape any page, Octopus claims to have more than 1M users. Customers can pay Octopus to scrape webpages for them or use its cloud-based platform to initiate scraping attacks.</p>
