Microsoft Azure successfully defends against DDOS attack

<p>Microsoft Azure has successfully defended one of the largest DDoS attacks ever faced. The attack came from over 70,000 sources, and at its peak recorded 2.4 TB per second. The attack vector was a User Datagram Protocol reflection attack, which originated from multiple countries including China, the USA, Vietnam, Japan, and Malaysia. While Microsoft didn&#39;t explain how it was defended, Azure&#39;s DDoS protection platform can take tens of Gigabytes per second.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
