Phishing attacks likely to increase after a CDSL data breach
<p> </p> <p>Personal and financial data of 43M investors in India exposed after a data breach at Central Depository Services (India) Limited subsidiary, CDSL Ventures Limited. The disturbing fact is that the data has been exposed twice in the past 10 days. This breach happened due to an authorization vulnerability in a public CDSL’s KYC API, although this issue was apparently fixed in a week. On 29th Oct the team found a complete bypass for the patch fix which was implemented.</p>
