One of America's top dental health insurers, Managed Care of North America Dental, fell victim to a ransomware attack, compromising the personal data of nearly 9mn people. The breach, which occurred between Feb 26 and March 7, 2023, exposed a wealth of sensitive data, including names, addresses, Social Security numbers, etc. This incident marks the largest health information breach of 2023, highlighting the growing threat of cybercrime in the healthcare sector.
