S Korea joins NATO cyber research centre; first Asian member to do so

<p>South Korea has joined the NATO cyber defense group, becoming the organisation&#39;s first Asian member. Along with Canada and Luxembourg, South Korea has joined the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence, a think tank that provides interdisciplinary cyber defense research, training, and exercises to member countries. The think tank was founded in 2008 in response to Estonia&#39;s crippling cyberattacks allegedly perpetrated by Russia.</p>
