Securing data infrastructure and applications remains vital: Cloud.in Founder Kurkure

Tell us a bit about the journey of Cloud.in?

Cloud.in, the flagship brand of Hostin Services Pvt Ltd., has a rich history dating back to its inception in 1999 during the first dotcom boom in Pune, India. Over the years, we have undergone numerous transitions and transformations, adapting to the ever-evolving landscape of technology. In 2008, we expanded our offerings to include data center services, and in 2012, we ventured into the domain of self-hosted cloud solutions. The birth of Cloud.in as a brand in 2016 marked a significant milestone, coinciding with our recognition as an AWS Partner in India the previous year.

What is the one thing common when dealing with clients from different backgrounds and what is the one thing you do to deliver a tailored service?

No matter the background, clients prioritise security and reliability for their cloud-based data and applications. This translates to a core focus on robust security measures, data encryption, and uptime guarantees. We ensure these aspects are built into the foundation of every cloud service we offer. We tailor our services by following three steps - Client Profiling, Scalability and Flexibility and Compliance Considerations. By combining a strong foundation of security and reliability with a deep understanding of individual client needs, we deliver cloud services that are both secure and perfectly suited to their unique requirements.

How are the new technologies changing this space?

New cloud technologies are constantly emerging, offering a range of benefits for businesses. Here are some key ways they're making a positive impact:

Faster Innovation: Cloud technologies allow businesses to deploy new applications and services much faster than traditional methods.

Improved Security: Cloud providers are investing heavily in security measures to protect customer data. They often have more advanced security features and expertise than most businesses could maintain on their own.

Advanced Analytics and AI: Cloud platforms are offering a wide range of built-in analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) tools. These tools can help customers gain insights from their data and automate tasks, leading to improved decision-making and efficiency.

What will the near future be like in the cloud tech space?

The future of cloud computing holds unprecedented promise, reshaping global business operations with the integration of AI and ML technologies into hybrid cloud environments. This trend empowers organizations to make data-driven decisions, enhance user experiences, and automate tasks. Cloud platforms facilitate easy deployment and scaling of AI applications, enabling even smaller businesses to adopt these technologies. Given the escalating cyber threats, securing data infrastructure and applications will remain vital, with cloud service providers expected to intensify investments in advanced security measures and obtain compliance certifications to ensure business continuity and maintain a competitive edge.
