UK watchdog seeks review of how government uses messaging apps like WhatsApp.
<p>An inquiry discovered "inadequate data security" during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Britain's data protection authority. This prompted a review of ministers' and government employees' usage of WhatsApp, personal emails, and other messaging apps. The study, according to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), should look at the "systemic risks" associated with using private communication channels and make sure adjustments are implemented.</p>
