Vedantu’s data breach risked 680,000 customers’ data

<p>Ed-tech firm Vedantu faced a data breach in September, which risked data of 680,000 customers. The attack exposed customer details including email and IP addresses, names, and phone numbers, said the company. Vamsi Krishna, the co-founder of Vedantu, informed that details were stored in an encrypted format, so it was not easy to misuse the data. He also informed that within few days customers were informed about the attack and advised to change their passwords.</p>
