CrisprBits Unveils Rapid CRISPR-Based Platform for Detecting Antibiotic Resistance

Bengaluru-based biotech startup CrisprBits has developed PathCrisp, a CRISPR-based molecular diagnostics platform designed for the early detection of antibiotic resistance in hospital-acquired infections. PathCrisp can identify resistance in bacterial samples within two hours, significantly faster than traditional 24-27 hour methods. This advancement aims to reduce hospital stays and associated healthcare costs.
