UK Prime Minister Unveils Plan to Position Britain as AI World Leader

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced an ambitious strategy to establish the UK as a global leader in artificial intelligence. The plan includes creating AI "growth zones" with accelerated planning approvals for data centers, starting in Culham, Oxfordshire, and increasing the UK's compute capacity twentyfold by 2030 through the development of a new supercomputer. This initiative aims to boost economic growth and enhance public services.
