As shortages turn into gluts, computer chips are at risk of becoming hoarded
<p>A global pandemic-related supply chain crisis left manufacturers of everything from PCs to smartphones to cars without the computer chips they required to produce their goods. Chip shortages changed into an oversupply in several industries, surprising Wall Street. Memory chip manufacturer Micron Technology Inc. announced that it would reduce output by late June. Chief Business Officer Sumit Sadana said that Micron was unprepared for the market downturn.</p>
