Facebook's Meta Settles Lawsuit Against 2 companies Involved In Data Scraping

<p>The Meta handled a case against BrandTotal Ltd. and Delaware-incorporated Unimania Inc., which were gathering data from Facebook and Instagram for marketing purposes, as stated in the first complaint filed in 2020. The companies agreed to pay for the damages along with the deletion of codes and files in a confidential manner. It is one of the several cases listed by Meta to handle data scraping. The pay for the damages costs the companies a significantly high cost.</p>
