Meta settles lawsuit against Facebook over location monitoring for $37.5M

<p>A lawsuit filed by Meta against Facebook&#39;s parent company for allegedly violating users&#39; privacy was settled for $37.5M. In San Francisco federal court, a preliminary settlement of the planned class action was filed, and the judge must approve it. It addressed concerns that Facebook had gathered information from users whose mobile devices had Location Services disabled, in violation of both California law and its own privacy policy.</p>
