Vietnam orders IT companies to keep user data locally
<p>The Vietnamese government has mandated tech companies to keep user data locally and establish offices in the country. The new regulations will go into effect on October 1 and will affect telecommunications providers as well as social media businesses like Google and Facebook. Authorities will have the right to require service providers to remove content if it is determined to be in violation of government regulations.</p>
