Amazon Declares Hiring Freeze

<p>Amazon has put a hold on hiring for new employees in response to economic uncertainity. Corporate hiring has been put on hold, according to the firm. Beth Galetti, senior vice president of People Experience and Technology, acknowledged the action and stated that the corporation had already started to pause or slow hiring in a number of corporate units in &quot;recent weeks.&quot; She also enumerates possible exemptions to this hiring moratorium.
