Amazon plans to enter Japan's prescription drug market: report

<p>Amazon.com Inc. is exploring entering the Japanese market for the sale of prescription medications. Amazon aims to collaborate with small- and mid-sized pharmacies to offer the service when electronic prescriptions are finally approved in Japan early next year. The government controls the cost of prescription drugs in Japan, where there are nearly 60,000 pharmacies and only 70 wholesalers nationally.</p>
