AMD Launches Zen 4-Based Epyc “Genoa”

<p>On Thursday, Advanced Micro Devices Inc. unveiled its most recent data center processor and said that Azure from Microsoft Corp., Google Cloud from Alphabet, and Oracle Corp. will be a few of its clients. According to Chief Executive Lisa Su, the "Genoa" codenamed 4th generation EPYC CPU significantly improves both performance and energy efficiency over the prior chip. "That translates into lower capex, lower opex, and lower total cost of ownership", she added.</p>
