Apple To Freeze The Use of China's YTMC Chips

<p>Apple has put a stop to its plan on using memory chips manufactured by China's Yangtze Memory Technologies Co in its products. This was done after Washington imposed tight export rules against Chinese technology firms, said Nikkei in a report. Apple initially decided to use YMTC NAND flash memory chips earlier this year. They were only to be used in iPhones sold in the Chinese market. It was decided that 40% of all the chips needed would be purchased from YMTC.</p>
